Painting landscapes, flowers, food and the human figure, I attempt to uncover the subconscious reality of our daily awareness and beauty that is often overlooked. I interpret stylistic elements from still-lives of the human figure and familiar objects into landscapes and surrealistic interpretation in order to inspire the viewer to ponder the complex familiarity of relationships in the natural world. Producing art that enables each person to question the often sublime relationship we have with the natural world – in a manner that reaffirms their individual character and brings grounded significance to their life – is a process that brings me great pleasure.
